Tipperary County Council Crisis Management Team reconvened at 5am to assess the situation. There has been no significant change in the river level since the last update at 2am.
The situation will continue to be monitored on an hourly basis and a further update will be provided following the next meeting of the Crisis Management Team at 7.30am.

River levels in the River Suir are remaining relatively stable at 3.8m however further rainfall is predicted over the next number of hours. Tipperary County Council’s Crisis Management Team together with the Clonmel Flood Response Team has been meeting since before midnight and will continue to monitor the situation on an hourly basis.
An evacuation of the Kilganey area has been carried out and a number of families have decided to remain within their dwellings. The Flood Response team will continue to liaise with these families in the event that the situation worsens. Contingency arrangements are also in place in relation to Suir Island, Marlfield and the Convent Road areas of Clonmel in the event that further evacuation is necessary.
The situation in Carrick on Suir has improved with water now cleared off the North Quay area and levels in Ardfinnan and Cahir have also receded at the moment.
Defence forces personnel are currently on hand to assist local authority staff in dealing with the situation which will continue to be monitored.

River levels in the River Suir are currently at 3.802m and based on anticipated rainfall between midnight tonight and noon tomorrow it is predicted that the critical level of 4m for the Kilganey area of Clonmel will be reached.
Following a meeting of the Clonmel Flood Response Team a decision has been taken to activate level 3 of the Clonmel Flood Response Plan and proceed with the evacuation of Kilganey.
Arrangements are currently being made to individually contact all families concerned advising of the need to evacuate.
Families are being directed to the Clonmel Park Hotel as an initial gathering point to ensure that all families are accounted for.
The relevant statutory agencies will be liaising with the relevant families concerned with a view to identifying suitable alternative accommodation where necessary.
The situation in relation to other areas of Clonmel issued with a precautionary evacuation notice will continue to be monitored.
