Come and join the first ever Mayors walk to raise funds for the Mayors fund which helps people in need in the community at Christmas.
The walk will take place on Sunday 28 October 2012 in Clonmel.
Sponsorship cards are available from the Workers and Unemployed Action Group Office, Queen Street, Clonmel during opening hours, that is 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm Monday to Friday and Saturday morning from 10am to 12pm.
Many people are really struggling in our communities and this is a great way for you to make such a big difference to those in need at Christmas time.

Applications are currently being accepted for the Housing Adaptation Grant Scheme.
There are 3 types of grants available:-
- Housing Adaptation Grant Scheme for People with a Disability, which will assist with the provision/adaptation of accommodation to meet the needs of people with a disability;
- Mobility Aids Housing Grant Scheme, which will assist in addressing mobility problems primarily associated with ageing;
- Housing Aid for Older People Scheme, which will provide assistance to older people (i.e. persons aged 60 years and above) living in poor housing conditions to have necessary repairs or improvements carried out to their houses.
Applications received will be considered in the light of funding available in 2013. The closing date for receipt of applications is 5.00 p.m. on 19th October 2012. All applications will be administered in accordance with the Council’s Priority Needs Scheme.
