Best of Luck to Dr Clare O’Leary, Mike O’Shea and Tom Bear who are setting out today on their expedition to become the first Irish expedition to walk all the way to the North Pole.

Many of us in Clonmel know Dr O’Leary who is based at South Tipperary General Hospital, she previously became the first Irish woman to conquer Everest and reach the South Pole.

We wish her and her team the very best of luck for a safe and successful expedition.

Congratulations to Clonmel native Con Sheehan who had a great win tonight at the National Championships in Dublin.

The Workers and Unemployed Action Group would like to offer our sincere congratulations to Con and his family on his success this evening, and we wish him the very best in his future.  His hard work and dedication has  brought him a National Championship and the people of Clonmel are extremely proud of him.

In the 91+kg weight category Con fought Sean Turner and won in a final score of 25 to 10.

Bobby Ryan has been missing since the 3rd of June, 2011. He was last seen in Cardangan, Co. Tipperary at around 10.15am.
Searchers are appealing for members of the public who may have seen or heard anything that could lead to finding Bobby Ryan.


Bobby is 5′ 2″ in height and stocky build.
