10am – 11am: DANCE DISCOVERY – 3 to 5 years old

11.30am – 12.30pm: DANCE DISCOVERY – 6 to 10 years old

11.30am – 12.30pm: HOLISTIC DANCE – adults and elderly people

2pm – 3pm: HIP-HOP – 8 to 14 years old

2pm -3pm: BALLET – 5 to 8 years old

3.30pm – 4.30pm: BALLET – 9 to 14 years old

3.30pm – 4.30pm: HIP-HOP – 5 to 8 years old

4.30pm – 5.30pm: HIP-HOP – 14 to 18 years old

4.30pm – 5.30pm: AFRO-BRAZILIAN DANCE – 6 to 12 years old

TEACHERS

 

Jazmin Chiodi – Argentinean, pro dancer since 94, co-directs Tipperary Dance Residency and Tipperary Dance Platform, Tipperary’s dance festival. Choreographer of Iseli-Chiodi Dance Company. Tango dancer and teacher.

Emma Kelleher – Hip-hop dancer and teacher. Emma’s group and choreography reached the semi-final at Ireland’s got Talent 2011.

Lisa Cahill – certificate in Community Dance Leadership. Graduated in dance education, MA in Contemporary Dance Performance (University of Limerick). Performer and choreographer with professionnal dance company Spoken Dance.

Clodagh Barrett – teaches Ballet, Modern Jazz… & Musical Theatre, in Corks Arts Studio and Youghal’s Blackwater Academy. Performed and choreographed for Dance Overtures, Cork Opera House, assistant for «Fame The Musical» in Cork.

Suzanne Leahy – one of the proponents of Sean Nos dancing for a number of years. She was taught by Mairead Casey and Mick Mulkerrin at Scoil Samhraidh Willie Clancy.

Selma Daniel – pro dancer from Sao Paulo, Brazil. Danced in Musical theatre and TV productions. Commissionned by many Irish Arts Festivals. Graduating MA in Contemporary Dance Performance at the University of Limerick.

love:live music is Ireland’s celebration of National Music Day on Thursday 21 June through free live music events in cities, towns and villages all over the country.  Initiated byMusic Network it is an open invitation to everyone to make music everywhere.  Clonmel Junction Festival and the Common Thread Café in conjunction with South Tipperary County Council Arts Service present a wonderful selection of Music on the streets of Clonmel.  Come and enjoy the outdoor evening music trail from under the arches of The Main Guard through Mitchell Street to Parnell Street, culminating with a concert at the County Museum at 8pm. All events are free.

5pm – Opening Concert – Under the Arches at The Main Guard – featuring, love:live music Ambassadors, award-winning and critically acclaimed singer Julie Feeney, the extraordinarily talented violinist Cora Venus Lunny, exuberant and innovative harpist Laoise Kelly and the masterfully elegant and fluent guitarist Niwel Tsumbu

 

6pm – 9pm – Rock Stage – Under the Arches at The Main Guard featuring Wayhays, Ruirai DeLeaster, Broken Glass on Broadway, The Bambir, Skyward Riffles  and Laura Rice.

 

6.00pm – 7.30pm – Mitchel Street – Choral Singing featuring Gospel Sounds and some participative singing.

 

6.00pm – 7.30pm – Parnell St (in front of town Hall) – Members of Powerstown Lisronagh Comhaltas group (dancers welcome).

 

6.30pm – 7.30pm – Parnell St (at Jervis Place) – join the Drumming circle with John Sutton, drumming facilitator.

 

6.00- 8.30pm – The Common Thread Café, 15 Parnell street : Acoustic Ballad singing with The Tipperary Ramblers (singers welcome).

 

7.30pm:  – outside the Town Hall:  Finale Street performance by Banna Cluain Meala and their Colour Guard.

 

Evening concert at the County Museum

8pm: – County Museum – Fire & Passion – from the Banks of the Suir to the Savannas of Mexico with Eamon Sweeney on Baroque Guitar, Malachy Robinson on Viol and Laoise O’Brien on Recorder. The Clonmel Scout Group are inviting Scouts past and present to attend a Slide Show of all their Camps in the Scout Den, Sarsfield Street on Friday the 29th June.

This year will see the Scouts celebrate 50 years of camping, since 1962 there has been an annual camp and this year is no different with over 60 scouts, along with leaders to attend the 2012 camp in Fethard on Sea.

Over the years hundreds of boys and girls and different generations of families have attended camp and although camping has changed over the years, the spirit of camping has not, with each day and night filled with different activties.

The Slide Show will start at 7:30pm and refreshments will be provided.

All are welcome.
