‘Being Young and Irish’

Hey Everyone,

President Higgins launched ‘Being Young and Irish’, a consultation process with young people aged 17 – 26, earlier this summer. The consultation process includes a series of Regional Workshops as well as the opportunity to make online submissions, culminating in a National Seminar in November of this year. This is the first in a series of seminars, aimed at shaping Ireland’s shared future that will take place during this Presidency.

The President and his team have asked An Gaisce to provide volunteers for the four Regional Workshops and the National Seminar of the ‘Being Young and Irish’ initiative, the precise dates and locations of which are listed below. We need SIX people at each Regional Workshop and six at the national seminar. Please aim to pick a location which is closest to you. We will be especially needing people outside of the Dublin area so if you do live in Munster or Connaught please strongly consider volunteering there. Travel costs will be reimbursed by Gaisce where necessary and when deemed appropriate.
